"May God, the almighty Father, who filled the world with joy by giving us his only Son, bless these newly-baptised children. May they grow to be more fully like Jesus Christ who is our Lord for ever and ever. Amen."
“What you see is the bread and the chalice; that is what your own eyes report to you. But what your faith obliges you to accept is that the bread is the body of Christ, and the chalice is the blood of Christ. This has been said very briefly, which may perhaps be sufficient for faith; yet faith does not desire instruction."

Hi, my name is Abigail Close! I will be receiving the sacraments of Confirmation and first Eucharist at this year’s Easter Vigil and I couldn’t be more excited. I started coming to Mass with my fiancé and quickly realized the truth and beauty of the Mass, the Eucharist, and particularly, the Catholic devotion to Our Mother Mary. OCIA has been a wonderful way to learn the faith, ask questions, and learn from great teachers! I’m so ready to receive Christian in the Eucharist and continue my journey with God.

My name is Erin Holmes. I'm married to an army veteran and we have 3 boys together. I spent a lifetime wandering places no lost soul should go. I know what life without faith looks like. I'm here now because the Blessed Mother herself helped me on me feet so that I could meet her son and become who God made me to be, not what my "life story" made me out to be. Our faith is beautiful because no matter what, it truly is universal. I realized one night in the chapel right after I said my rosary that because there's over 2 billion of us worldwide, there's no way I said that rosary alone...must have been millions praying it with me that night worldwide. That blew my heart up for Jesus and his kingdom, and our earthly catholic family.

My name is Lauren Stuedemann. I will be receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation at the Easter Vigil. I grew up in a Christian family and was surrounded by Christian values my entire life - I was baptized and confirmed Lutheran. I was introduced to Catholicism through my husband and his family. I officially decided to fully embrace Catholicism once we welcomed our daughter, Josephine, into our lives. I wanted her to be baptized and raised in the Catholic church alongside her family and cousins. I felt called to the beauty and tradition of the religion and I am excited to be officially welcomed into the Church at the Easter Vigil.

(St. name chosen is St. Gemma). I will be receiving the sacraments of confession, confirmation and Eucharist, I was raised Protestant. I was a member of Southridge Reformed church for over 20 years. I began attending Mass with my daughter and son-in-law during covid. The Eucharist is what is drawing me. OCIA has been very special. The support and caring shown by everyone has been priceless. Tommy Shultz and Bridget Hahn are gifted! A huge thanks to both of them!
