What is a Sacrifice of Charity?
Charity is the virtue which wills the good of others. Of the five sacrifices, this is probably one of the easiest to understand--it can be difficult to will the good of others! Every time we do, especially when it's difficult, is an act of love.
The Mass makes the Cross present again, when we truly see how much the Lord willed our good. Our little offerings made at Mass and throughout the week can be offered along His.

Offerings of Charity During the Mass
The Mass leads us to grow in perfect charity. When you go to Mass, listen for these prayers, meditate on them, and pray them intentionally.
Even if you forgot about your offerings all week long or find yourself distracted at Mass, the liturgy offers a place of refreshment. We receive God's love in the Eucharist and are strengthened to share it with others.

Offerings of Charity to Prepare for Mass
Acts of love conform us to Christ. All sacrifices of charity made throughout the week not only offer praise to Him but also make us more prepared to receive His love at Mass.
When the priest says, "pray that my sacrifice and yours are acceptable," offer all the love you gave this week as a gift on the altar.

Love Your Family
Your first task is to love those before you. Do an act of service for someone at home!

Assume Goodwill
Have no malice in your heart. View the actions of others in the most charitable light rather than assuming ill intent.

Pray for Someone Who Hurt You
Do it sincerely and do it in secret. Make it an offering of love that receives no visible reward.

Pray an Act of Charity
As simple as saying "Jesus, I love You!" or "Holy Trinity, I adore You!"

Pray for Souls
For the conversion of souls, salvation of sinners, and repose of the faithful departed.
